Toronto, Ontario–(Newsfile Corp. – September 2, 2026) – Red Cloud Securities Inc. (“Red Cloud”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ian Parkinson as Managing Director, Equity Research, with a focus on base metals as of September 1, 2026.
Parkinson brings more than 25 years of mining industry and capital markets experience to Red Cloud, including 16 years as a sell-side mining analyst at leading Canadian investment dealers. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, Mining Equity Research at Stifel GMP, following senior research roles at GMP Securities and CIBC World Markets.
Before moving to the sell side, Parkinson spent a decade with Falconbridge and Noranda, now part of Glencore. His responsibilities spanned geology, exploration, metals marketing and business development, giving him a broad, first-hand understanding of the mining value chain.
More recently, Parkinson expanded his issuer-side experience through executive roles with Halcones Precious Metals and Emerita Resources, as well as serving as a director of Prospector Metals. This combination of technical, corporate and capital markets experience gives him a rare, multidimensional perspective on mining companies and investment opportunities.
